Does foliar nicotinamide application affect second crop corn (Zea mays)?

چکیده
The largest corn yeld in Brazil is currently the second harvest, which most susceptible period to climatic adversities occurring during cycle. Thus, introducing beneficial elements for maintaining adequate development of plant can help producers obtaining greater kernel yields. Among studied elements, nicotinamide has potential use since it associated with accumulating secondary metabolites and manifesting defence metabolism plants. objective this work was evaluate influence applied different doses (only once or instalments) on biometric productive characteristics corn. treatments were composed by number applications (one two) five (0, 50, 100, 150 200 mg L-1). Plant diameter, height, ear insertion leaf area dry matter, yield 100-kernel mass evaluated. It found that close 100 L-1 resulted increases vegetative reproductive development, regardless applications. In way, foliar application positively influences crop Highlights plants improves its growth, components grain yield. A single stage V3 at a dose sufficient increase Corn be increased 12.6% nicotinamide. There no need two crop.

Corn Silage (Zea mays L.) Response to Zinc Foliar Spray Concentration When Grown on Sandy Soil
The objective of this study is to identify an adequate zinc (Zn) foliar spray concentration which corrects Zn deficiency without disrupting other plant mineral contents, enhances plant growth, and thereby corn silage yield when grown on sandy soil. A field experiment was conducted using five Zn foliar spray concentrations (w/v): 0.03%, 0.07%, 0.10%, 0.14% and 0.18%. Zn sulfate (ZnSO4. 7H2O) was...
متن کاملDoes nitrogen fertilizer application rate to corn affect nitrous oxide emissions from the rotated soybean crop?
Little information exists on the potential for N fertilizer application to corn ( L.) to affect NO emissions during subsequent unfertilized crops in a rotation. To determine if N fertilizer application to corn affects NO emissions during subsequent crops in rotation, we measured NO emissions for 3 yr (2011-2013) in an Iowa, corn-soybean [ (L.) Merr.] rotation with three N fertilizer rates appli...

The use of renewable resources and inputs is one of the fundamental principles of sustainable agriculture that enables maximum crop productivity and minimal environmental risk. Nutrient management may be achieved by the involvement of organic sources, bio-fertilizers, and micro-nutrients. Indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers to achieve high yield and to compensate for lack of nutrients an...
متن کاملHealth Benefits of Purple Corn (Zea mays L.) Phenolic Compounds
Purple corn (Zea mays L.), a grain with one of the deepest shades in the plant kingdom, has caught the attention of the food industry as it could serve as a source for alternatives to synthetic colorants. Also being rich in phenolic compounds with potential health-promoting properties, purple corn is becoming a rising star in the novel ingredients market. Although having been widely advertised ...
متن کاملPhenolic profiles of Andean purple corn (Zea mays L.)
Qualitative and quantitative high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD) was performed to characterize the presence of phenolic compounds in Andean purple corn. Phenolic compounds were analyzed by separating them in two main fractions: a water fraction (WF) and an ethyl acetate fraction (EAF). The WF rich in anthocyanins revealed the presence of cyanidin-3-gluco...
